Two U.S. service members killed in Jordan and another is missing after Iranian strikes, military says

U.S. Central Command confirmed that two American service members died in Jordan during a ballistic missile and drone attack. Another service member remains missing following the incident.

Four additional U.S. personnel required medical evacuation after the strike. While they were treated at facilities in Jordan, military officials confirmed they have since been discharged. Other personnel evaluated for minor injuries returned to duty.

In response to the attack, U.S. forces initiated retaliatory airstrikes against Iranian military targets. These operations targeted Iranian surveillance equipment, air defense facilities, and maritime assets.
