9 killed and more than 60 wounded in Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian regions

Russian air defense systems claimed to intercept hundreds of drones across nineteen regions, though the scale of the damage confirms the intensity of the offensive. The strikes reflect a shift in tactics, with Kyiv prioritizing the disruption of supply chains and critical energy infrastructure inside Russian territory.

Emergency services responded to fires and structural damage throughout the affected regions, particularly around the Moscow area where the strikes occurred close to residential zones. This aerial campaign underscores the expansion of the war's reach as it continues into its fifth year.
