Mediator Mark Berkowitz Brings More Employment Law Experience – and Immediate Engagement – to UWWM
Veteran labor and employment attorney Mark J. Berkowitz has joined the Upchurch Watson White & Max Mediation Group as a full-time neutral. Berkowitz brings over four decades of experience to the firm, having spent his career representing clients in complex matters involving discrimination, harassment, and wage and hour claims. His work has spanned various agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the National Labor Relations Board.
Since joining the mediation panel in Fort Lauderdale, Berkowitz has quickly integrated into his new role. He is already contributing industry analysis through articles and blog posts regarding mediation and employment law. His practice focuses on resolving workplace disputes through preparation, realistic case evaluation, and practical problem-solving methods.
Beyond his work as a neutral, Berkowitz maintains a high level of professional involvement in the legal community. He recently accepted an invitation to serve as a panelist at the 2026 Annual Conference of the Florida Chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association. This event, where UWWM serves as a Gold Sponsor, gathers plaintiff-side employment attorneys from across the state for continuing education and networking.
This addition marks a continued investment by UWWM in its practice areas. The firm operates nationwide as a leader in alternative dispute resolution. Their mediators handle a variety of disputes including commercial litigation, personal injury, and construction matters, providing clients with pathways to resolve issues outside of the courtroom. Parties interested in scheduling a mediation with Mr. Berkowitz can reach his office through his dedicated case manager.
