Mich. Man's Employment Ended Before Murder-Suicide

The American Heart Association confirmed that Kristopher Karolkiewicz ended his employment with the organization in July 2026. This professional change occurred during the same month the 47-year-old Michigan man killed his wife, Amanda Karolkiewicz, and their six children before taking his own life.

Karolkiewicz served as the national vice president of sales and marketing for the organization, a position he held since September 2023. In an official statement, the American Heart Association expressed devastation regarding the events in Grand Haven and stated that its thoughts are with the families of those lost.

Authorities responded to the family home on July 24 after a fire was reported. Investigations into the incident revealed the deaths were the result of a murder-suicide.
