Cetera is expanding its leadership team by bringing on two veteran executives to oversee key segments of its business. The independent broker/dealer hired Torrance Chaplin from Primerica to act as community leader for Cetera Investors. Sean Marrin joins from Raymond James as the community leader for Cetera’s RIA Network. Both hires will focus on advisor engagement and recruitment efforts as the firm pushes for growth within its recently launched RIA and Branches channel.
Elsewhere in the financial advisory space, other firms are also making strategic leadership changes to support high-net-worth clients. Valeon Partners, a merchant bank based in Dallas, brought in Lawson Smith from Houlihan Lokey as a managing director for market strategy. Smith brings two decades of experience in capital raising and mergers to the firm to guide their upcoming market strategies.
Verdence Capital Advisors in Maryland added Bryan Dalesandro as executive director of financial planning. Dalesandro previously held a similar role at RiversEdge Advisors and will now focus on estate and retirement planning for ultra-high-net-worth families. This move aligns with the firm’s strategy of deepening its internal planning resources for its nearly five billion dollars in assets under management.
Finally, Credent Wealth Management has appointed Michael Kim to its board of directors. Kim serves as the president and CEO of AssetMark. His addition to the board follows a recent investment from Crestline Management and reflects the firm's goal to refine its client service model through experienced leadership guidance.
