Dispatch, a New York-based data infrastructure firm, has formed its inaugural board of advisors. The firm, which creates back-office workflow tools for wealth management firms, appointed four industry leaders to provide strategic guidance. The new board members include Bob Oros, formerly of Hightower Advisors; Rajini Kodialam, a co-founder of Focus Financial Partners; Stephen Langlois, a veteran of Kestra Financial and eMoney Advisor; and fintech operator Sachin Shah, known for his work at 55ip.

This announcement follows a period of rapid growth for the company. Dispatch reports that the assets managed by firms using its platform have grown from $900 billion to over $9 trillion in the last year, while the customer base has expanded fivefold. The firm aims to address the operational strain placed on wealth management teams by managing account onboarding, custodial data reconciliation, and complex client workflows that are often still handled through manual spreadsheet entry.

Dispatch CEO Rob Nance stated that the industry currently lacks purpose-built software to handle these transitions. By automating data mapping across CRMs and planning tools, Dispatch aims to reduce the time required for complex household onboarding significantly. In a recent case study with Sanctuary Wealth, the platform reduced the time for these tasks from hours to roughly 30 minutes.

Industry veterans joining the board cite the challenge of managing fragmented technology ecosystems as a primary motivator for their involvement. As RIA aggregators continue to acquire firms, they often inherit incompatible back-office systems. The board members bring expertise in navigating these operational hurdles, having held senior positions at major firms like Fidelity and LPL Financial.

This move comes as the wealth management sector experiences high levels of advisor mobility. Recent data from industry reports suggest that tens of thousands of representatives moved to new firms last year, often migrating toward the independent RIA market. As firms grow through these transitions, Dispatch intends to use this new board to refine its infrastructure and support the expanding needs of the advisory community.
