Pearl Jam’s Early Years Revealed in New Intimate Photography Book

Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament is opening his personal archives. He announced a new photography book titled Since Forever, which highlights the band’s formative years in Seattle and their rise through the 1990s. The project began when Ament and his brother, designer Barry Ament, discovered a collection of decaying negatives from the band's early career.

Most of the images in the book have never been seen by the public. Ament states that about ninety percent of the content is entirely new to fans. The book functions as a visual record of the group’s time in recording studios, backstage areas, and life on the road between 1990 and 1998.

The creation of the book served as a creative project for the brothers to complete together. Ament notes that his family often connects through shared work. He hopes the collection provides a look into the friendship and creative process that sustained the band as they grew from a group of friends into a major musical force.

Fans can expect the release on September 25, 2026. Ament will begin a tour to support the book on the same day at the Ohana Festival in Dana Point, California. The release offers a look at the history of a band that became a touchstone for a generation of music fans.
