Fantasy author Sarah J. Maas has officially announced the titles and covers for the next two books in the A Court of Thorns and Roses series. The upcoming releases continue the narrative arcs focused on the sisters of the Prythian realm.

The sixth book, titled A Court of Splintered Harmony, arrives on October 27. The seventh installment, A Court of Forgotten Melody, is scheduled for publication on January 12, 2027. Both titles are published by Bloomsbury.

Maas shared the news through social media channels while simultaneous digital billboard displays appeared across Los Angeles, Denver, and New York City. The author also provided brief synopses for the upcoming volumes. A Court of Splintered Harmony is described with the phrase, What was broken will be remade. A Court of Forgotten Melody carries the description, What was lost will be reclaimed.

The new books are categorized within The Valkyrie Cycle. The sixth book constitutes the first movement of the cycle, while the seventh book covers the second and third movements. This announcement follows the earlier cancellation of the planned television adaptation of the series at Hulu in 2025, which returned the rights to the author.

Sarah J. Maas remains a major figure in the fantasy genre. Her collective works, including the Throne of Glass and Crescent City series, have reached over 85 million copies sold in English and are translated into 40 languages.
