Olivia Wilde is preparing for her next major directing project titled Naughty. The upcoming holiday comedy features Jennifer Aniston and Peter Dinklage in the lead roles. The film follows a woman named Mallory who finds herself in the middle of a difficult custody battle. In a desperate move to resolve the conflict, she tracks down Santa Claus to serve as a witness in her divorce hearing.
Wilde describes the production as a project she fought hard to bring to the screen. She notes that the story blends comedy with heavier emotional elements, echoing the spirit of Rob Reiner films. The director emphasizes the scale of this movie, stating that it represents a much larger endeavor than any work she has handled in the past.
Universal is backing the project, and production is currently in the pre-production phase. This film marks the fourth directorial feature for Wilde, continuing her work following Booksmart, Don’t Worry Darling, and The Invite. Audiences can expect to see Naughty in theaters on November 5, 2027.
