Priscilla Presley made a rare public appearance this week, stepping out for the Remus Lifestyle Night at the Hotel Hilton Mallorca Galatzo in Spain. The 81-year-old author and actress wore an all-red ensemble that featured a matching dress, handbag, and lipstick, catching the attention of those in attendance. She was photographed alongside the event host, luxury real estate agent Marcel Remus, and actress Mischa Barton.
This appearance marks a return to the public eye for Presley, who spent much of the previous year promoting her memoir, Softly as I Leave You: Life After Elvis. The book, published in September 2025, chronicles her life story and reflections on her marriage to the late Elvis Presley from 1967 to 1973. She has noted that writing the memoir was a long process of revisiting both difficult and happy memories from her past.
In recent discussions about the book, Presley reflected on the intense public scrutiny she and her family faced during the funeral of her late husband in 1977. She described the event as an overwhelming experience where thousands of fans surrounded the Graceland estate, leaving little space for private mourning. Despite the passage of time, she maintains that she and Elvis remained friendly throughout the years that followed their divorce.
When asked about what she imagines her late husband would be doing today, Presley speculated that he would still be touring and performing. She emphasized that his love for music and the stage was a primary focus of his life. Presley continues to participate in select public events, balancing her time between appearances and her ongoing work as an author.
