Marvel announces Ryan Gosling as Ghost Rider, a new Black Panther, and more

Marvel Studios delivered major news from the floor of Comic-Con this week. The studio confirmed that actor Ryan Gosling is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe to star as Ghost Rider. This standalone project will be directed by Shawn Levy, who previously worked on the Deadpool and Wolverine franchise, and is slated for a 2028 release.

In addition to the Ghost Rider news, Ryan Coogler took the stage to provide updates on the Black Panther series. He officially confirmed that Black Panther III is scheduled to hit theaters on December 15th, 2028. The production team also introduced David Jonsson as the new lead, who will portray T’Chala’s son as the next Black Panther in the franchise.

Fans also got a look at a new trailer for the upcoming film Avengers: Doomsday. While the film is largely finalized, the directors mentioned that they are keeping a door open for potential cameos.
