Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has shared his thoughts on the recently released trailer for Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming adaptation of the Ramayana. Known for his work on Animal, the filmmaker turned to social media to highlight the grand scale of the production and its core themes. Vanga specifically noted that the trailer serves as a reminder of the victory of dharma over adharma. He expressed his support for the project by calling it the start of a new era.
The trailer features Ranbir Kapoor in the role of Lord Ram alongside Sai Pallavi as Sita. A major point of discussion among viewers is the appearance of Yash as Ravana, whose performance has drawn significant attention. The visual presentation of the film is supported by a collaboration between composers Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman, adding a layer of musical weight to the epic retelling.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the project involves an extensive cast including Sunny Deol, Rakul Preet Singh, and Lara Dutta. The production is supported by Prime Focus Studios and DNEG, with Yash’s Monster Mind Creations also involved in the venture. The film structure consists of two parts, with the initial installment scheduled for a theatrical release during Diwali 2026. The second part is expected to follow during the Diwali window in 2027.
