Thrash metal legends Anthrax have returned with a new single titled Everybody's Got a Plan. The song serves as the third release from their upcoming album Cursum Perficio, scheduled to arrive on September 18 via Megaforce Records.
This track marks a shift in sound for the band. Drummer Charlie Benante noted that the song blends mid-paced thrash elements with major-key hard rock influences. The title draws inspiration from the famous Mike Tyson quote about having a plan until you get punched in the face.
Accompanying the release is a new music video directed by the band. The footage captures the group on and off stage during their recent European run with Iron Maiden. Guitarist Scott Ian stated that the video aims to showcase the band having fun while on the road.
Anthrax is currently preparing for the North American leg of Iron Maiden's Run for Your Lives tour. They will hit the road alongside fellow Big Four thrash icons Megadeth as part of this concert series. Fans can stream the new track now ahead of the full album release next month.
