Apple Corps Ltd and Universal Music Group have entered a new agreement to manage the global licensing and merchandising for The Beatles. This deal covers physical and digital commerce, positioning the band to reach new audiences as they prepare for a series of major projects. The partnership arrives as the music industry observes a renewed focus on The Beatles’ catalog and historical significance.

The timing of this collaboration aligns with several high-profile initiatives scheduled for the coming years. In 2027, the headquarters at 3 Savile Row will open to the public, offering a seven-floor experience that includes archival material, rotating exhibits, and a recreation of the studio where Let It Be was recorded. This marks the first time the location will be accessible as an official fan destination.

Looking further ahead, the agreement supports the lead-up to the 2028 release of Sam Mendes’ four-part biopic project. This cinematic event is expected to draw substantial international attention, and the merchandising deal ensures that associated products and digital content are available to fans worldwide. Recent photos show the cast members recreating iconic moments, such as the Abbey Road album cover, building anticipation for the films.

Tom Greene, CEO of Apple Corps Ltd, noted that the partnership aims to provide structure for the upcoming fan experiences and movie releases. Similarly, Dickon Stainer, Chairman and CEO of Universal Music Group UK, stated that the deal reinforces the band's influence on the global stage. Both organizations have stated their intent to leverage these upcoming projects to keep the music and history of the band central to modern culture.
