Ariana Grande Lets Her Angriest, Most Authentic Self Bloom on New Album ‘Petal’: Stream It Now
Ariana Grande released her eighth studio album, Petal, on July 31. This new collection contains twelve tracks. Eleven of these songs are completely new to listeners. The only track released before the full album drop was Hate That I Made You Love Me. That single reached the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 after its June debut.
Grande described the creative process for this record as a release of unfiltered rage. The tracks document her perspective on public perception and the gossip that has followed her personal life for several years. This project moves away from the sound of her 2024 album Eternal Sunshine.
Fans are familiar with the star’s current tour, which remains ongoing. She is considering adding selections from Petal to the remaining setlist. After her tour dates conclude at the O2 Arena in London, the artist plans to shift her focus toward the November premiere of the film Focker-in-Law. She is also slated to appear in a West End stage production of Sunday in the Park With George in 2027.
