Federal prison records show the release date for Sean Combs has been moved up again. He is currently serving a 50-month sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, New Jersey, for prostitution-related convictions.
Combs is now scheduled for release on January 24, 2028. This adjustment follows his initial release date of June 4, 2028, and a previous update that had set his expected departure for February 23, 2028. The Federal Bureau of Prisons did not provide a specific reason for the latest change.
Recent reports indicate that Combs was placed in solitary confinement following a physical altercation with another inmate at the facility. It remains unclear if this disciplinary action is a long-term measure.
Combs was sentenced in October for violating the Mann Act by transporting people across state lines for sexual encounters. He was acquitted of separate charges related to sex trafficking and racketeering during his trial. He was moved to the Fort Dix facility from the Metropolitan Detention Center in New York last October.
