Slipknot has parted ways with their original DJ, Sid Wilson, after a tenure spanning 28 years. Reports confirm that Wilson received notice of his dismissal on July 31, marking another major shift in the band's lineup following the previous exits of Chris Fehn, Craig Jones, and Jay Weinberg.
Wilson served as a defining member of the group since its early days. His departure follows a difficult period for the turntablist, who suffered serious burns during a bonfire explosion on his Iowa farm in 2024. He remained active with his solo work as DJ Starscream and his label, Vomit Face Records, throughout his time in the band.
Neither the group nor Wilson have provided an official statement regarding the reason for the decision. The band recently performed at the Inkcarceration festival in 2025, which stands as their last documented live appearance with the full lineup.
