WEEI 93.7 Boston is heading to SiriusXM as part of radio station deal
WEEI 93.7 is expanding its reach. Starting September 1, the Boston sports station will join the SiriusXM lineup as part of a new distribution agreement between Audacy and the satellite radio provider.
This move brings WEEI and several other Audacy sports brands to SiriusXM listeners nationwide, both in their vehicles and through the mobile app. While local fans can still access the station through traditional means, this partnership aims to provide a wider platform for Audacy content to reach listeners across North America.
The agreement includes a total of twenty-three sports stations, such as WFAN in New York and 104.3 The Score in Chicago. SiriusXM plans to add nineteen additional news and talk stations from the Audacy network later this year. Listeners will find these channels available on most standard subscription plans, including Platinum and Music & Entertainment packages.
Audacy CEO Kelli Turner stated that the expansion allows the company to connect with fans beyond local markets by leveraging the national scale of satellite radio. SiriusXM president Scott Greenstein echoed this sentiment, noting that the deal merges local commentary with national sports analysis, providing a unified listening experience for subscribers.
