Sports radio WEEI will soon be available on SiriusXM satellite radio
Sports radio fans in the Boston area will soon have a new way to listen to WEEI. Audacy, the parent company of the 93.7-FM station, has reached a partnership agreement with SiriusXM to bring its local programming to the satellite radio platform.
This move is part of a larger deal that includes 42 terrestrial radio stations across 29 different markets. Among the additions is WFAN in New York, alongside WEEI and other regional sports outlets. Subscribers will gain access to this content starting on September 1, which aligns with the start of the upcoming NFL season.
Listeners can access the stations through the SiriusXM mobile application or directly through compatible vehicle head units. This expansion provides a wider audience for local sports commentary and talk programming. The move reflects a broader industry push to integrate traditional radio content into satellite and digital streaming ecosystems.
