Sports radio station WEEI is set to join the SiriusXM lineup. This expansion follows an agreement between Audacy and the satellite radio provider to broadcast terrestrial stations to a wider audience.

Starting September 1, listeners will find WEEI available through the SiriusXM app and on compatible vehicle consoles. The launch aligns with the start of the NFL season, ensuring subscribers can access local sports coverage on their satellite receivers.

This deal covers 42 stations across 29 markets, including other major outlets like WFAN in New York. While the reach of these stations grows through this partnership, the availability of WEEI on its traditional flagship frequency and regional New England affiliates remains unchanged.

Red Sox broadcasts remain part of the station schedule and will continue to be provided through the new satellite channel. This move serves to bring local sports talk to a larger national listener base while maintaining the existing local broadcast structure.
