Are NewJeans Really Back?
NewJeans appears to be preparing for a return to the public eye. ADOR, their label under HYBE, recently shared four short video clips featuring remaining members Hyein, Haerin, Hanni, and Minji. This release marks the fourth anniversary of the group’s debut and follows a long period of uncertainty for the artists.
The group previously announced a hiatus in 2025 after a series of legal and management disputes. These issues stemmed from an internal audit at HYBE, which led to the removal of Min-Hee Jin as CEO of ADOR. The members of NewJeans publicly challenged the management decisions and labor conditions during this time. They also attempted a failed rebranding effort under the name NJZ before a court ruling mandated they honor their contract with ADOR.
While the members officially returned to their label by late 2025, the group’s composition changed when Danielle’s contract was terminated. ADOR has since initiated legal action against Danielle and other parties involved in the previous conflicts.
Fans are now watching for specific plans regarding future activities. The label stated that they will provide more details on their next steps once internal discussions conclude. Whether this content signals a full-scale comeback remains to be seen as the industry waits for further updates from the label.
