Neko Health is set to open its first American clinic in New York City this September. The facility will be located on Lafayette Street in the Soho neighborhood. This expansion marks a major shift for the Swedish company as it introduces its health-monitoring technology to the United States.

The clinic provides non-invasive, radiation-free scans that measure cardiovascular and metabolic health in one hour. Each session includes a review from a medical professional. The company founders, Daniel Ek and Hjalmar Nilsonne, aim to provide preventative care options that remain accessible rather than exclusive.

Interest in the service is high. The company currently has a waitlist of 25,000 New Yorkers for the new location. The clinic spans 11,000 square feet and features seven dedicated scan rooms to accommodate this demand. The brand plans to open further locations in Miami and San Francisco following the launch in New York.

The venture counts several high-profile figures among its backers, including Mark Zuckerberg, Maria Sharapova, and Danny Meyer. These investors support the mission to bring advanced, data-driven wellness checks to a broader population. The company views this as a new infrastructure layer for the healthcare industry.

Nilsonne stated that the objective is to make high-quality diagnostic services more affordable than traditional alternatives. By focusing on preventative measures and a clear patient experience, the company intends to reshape how people approach personal health monitoring in major urban centers.
