The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in the Westchester neighborhood on Tuesday night following reports of a person livestreaming acts of self-harm. Deputies arrived at the scene after receiving multiple calls from the public regarding the broadcast on social media. Emergency personnel, including Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, were present at the location while law enforcement worked to manage the crisis.

Neighbors identified the individual inside the home as celebrity entertainment blogger Perez Hilton. The Sheriff’s Office has not officially confirmed the identity of the person involved. Deputies reported that the individual was alone inside the home and stated they were using standard crisis intervention techniques to de-escalate the situation.

Agents representing Perez Hilton, Dante Rusciolelli and Rebekah Kochan, issued a statement acknowledging the concerning content shared online. They noted that they have been unable to make direct contact with Hilton despite efforts to reach him. The representatives expressed their concern for his health and well-being and requested that the privacy of his family remain respected while the situation is handled.

Paramedics were seen transporting someone from the residence to an ambulance late Tuesday. Authorities continue to monitor the situation. If you or someone you know is in crisis, please call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline for support.
