Clean Harbors is expanding its reach with the $470 million acquisition of environmental services provider EnviroServe from private equity firm One Rock Capital Partners. This transaction adds 40 facilities to Clean Harbors’ portfolio, including 18 transfer sites that will increase recycling and disposal capacity. The deal includes a specialized fleet of more than 700 vehicles, an emergency response network, and five railcar cleaning sites that operate across 48 U.S. states.

Co-CEO Eric Gerstenberg stated that EnviroServe is a strong fit due to its national footprint and recurring revenue. The acquisition is part of a broader strategy by Clean Harbors to aggressively pursue mergers and acquisitions throughout 2026. This purchase follows other notable deals this year, such as the $225 million acquisition of Terra Nova Solutions and the ongoing $305 million deal for ES&H in the Gulf Coast region.

Clean Harbors expects the deal to generate $250 million in annual revenues and projects $25 million in synergies within the first two years. This acquisition reflects an active landscape for mergers and acquisitions in the waste and recycling industry as major companies continue to consolidate assets and expand their service capabilities.
