A recent study from WalletHub sheds light on the locations where residents report the highest levels of life satisfaction. The data ranks 182 cities across the United States based on criteria such as physical and mental well-being, economic stability, and community environment.

Fremont, California, secured the top spot in this year’s analysis. The city performed well due to high income levels, significant life expectancy, and a high percentage of households earning more than $75,000. Residents of Fremont also benefit from a low divorce rate and high scores for physical health.

Bismarck, North Dakota, followed in the second position. The city stands out for offering residents a high amount of daily leisure time, which correlates with strong scores in community well-being and health outcomes. Meanwhile, Scottsdale, Arizona, rounded out the top three, largely driven by high rates of physical activity and solid economic indicators among its population.

At the other end of the spectrum, cities such as Shreveport, Memphis, and Detroit occupied the final positions on the list. New York City placed 59th overall. The study aims to provide a data-driven look at how urban environments influence personal health and stability.
