Jenny Shin Claims her First LPGA Win in Over a Decade at Women's Scottish Open

Jenny Shin secured a two-shot victory at the Women’s Scottish Open on Sunday, marking her first win on the tour in more than a decade. The 33-year-old finished at 9 under after a final round of 75 at Dundonald Links.

Shin entered the final day with a commanding five-shot lead. Despite a difficult stretch on the course that included three consecutive bogies on holes six through eight, she maintained her composure to finish the event ahead of runner-up A Lim Kim. Shin noted that while her first career win felt accidental, this victory represents hard work and persistence.

The tournament serves as a key stop during the stretch of European events leading into the major championships. Shin struggled with bunker shots and wind during her final round but kept her standing at the top of the leaderboard to close out the tournament. Pajaree Anannarukarn finished in solo third place.

This win breaks a long drought for the South Korean golfer, whose previous victory occurred at the Texas Shootout in May 2016. Her performance in Scotland provides momentum as players prepare for the upcoming major schedule in the United Kingdom.
