DGM Racing recently confirmed the signing of Derek Lemke for his debut in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series. Lemke will pilot the No. 91 Chevrolet during the upcoming Hy-Vee Perks 250 at Iowa Speedway on August 8. The car will feature support from Crankshaft Supply, Rack Shack BBQ, and Burch Farms.
Lemke brings over a decade of racing experience to the team. His background spans grassroots short tracks to the national stage where he competes in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Team owner Mario Gosselin highlighted the driver's history of success across various vehicle types as a key factor in the decision to add him to the DGM Racing lineup for the Iowa event.
For the Minnesota native, this debut represents a significant career milestone. Lemke expressed that racing at Iowa Speedway has remained a long-term goal since his early days in the sport. He noted his gratitude toward the team and sponsors for the opportunity to compete at this level.
Beyond his performance on the track, Lemke is part of a prominent racing family. He and his wife, fellow driver Natalie Decker, currently reside in North Carolina with their son. This move marks the latest step in Lemke’s ongoing professional path within the national racing series.
