NASCAR Truck Series IRP results, Layne Riggs is winner Friday

Layne Riggs dominated the TSport 200 at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park, leading 198 of 200 laps on Thursday. Driving the No. 34 Ford for Front Row Motorsports, Riggs maintained control throughout the event, facing only a minor setback during a second-stage restart. This victory marks his fifth win of the 2026 season. Connor Mosack took second place, and Ty Majeski rounded out the top three.

While Riggs cruised to the front, the race featured significant shifts in the point standings. Stewart Friesen secured a sixth-place finish, which proved critical for his playoff standing. Entering the race tied with Tyler Ankrum for the final Chase spot, Friesen walked away with an eight-point cushion over his rival. Christian Eckes, who showed early promise in the first stage, suffered a major blow due to alternator failure, ultimately finishing 35th and losing significant ground.

Other notable performances included Chandler Smith in fourth and Nick Sanchez in fifth. Further down the field, many drivers struggled with lap deficits as the race neared its conclusion. The results leave the playoff picture much clearer as the season moves toward its next chapter. Riggs continues his strong form as the schedule progresses toward the post-season.
