Legacy Motor Club announces new investors, including Dixon, Franchitti, and Kanaan

Legacy Motor Club is expanding its reach with a new group of strategic investors. Jimmie Johnson, co-owner of the organization, announced a diverse lineup of new partners that includes some of the most recognizable names from professional sports and entertainment. This development brings a fresh perspective to the team as they prepare for the 2027 season.

Among the new investors are IndyCar legends Scott Dixon, Dario Franchitti, and Tony Kanaan. Their involvement signals a connection across different racing series. Joining them are other high-profile figures such as MLB star Bryce Harper, professional surfer Kelly Slater, and former professional tennis player Andy Roddick. These individuals add their expertise to an ownership group that already features figures like Guy Fieri and Darius Rucker.

Legacy Motor Club currently manages the No. 42 entry for John Hunter Nemechek and the No. 43 entry for Erik Jones in the NASCAR Cup Series. The team has stated plans to grow to three full-time entries by next season. This investment shift represents a change in how the team approaches its future.
