USA Network Greenlights Three-Part ‘NASCAR Americana’ Docuseries
USA Network is launching a three-part docuseries titled NASCAR Americana, produced by Peyton Manning and Omaha Productions. The series chronicles the history of the sport, tracing its roots from early moonshiners to its current status as a national cultural fixture. Each episode arrives following major NASCAR events, aligning with the network's expanded sports coverage throughout the season.
The project offers a look into the lives of drivers both on and off the track. Viewers will see segments featuring Ryan Blaney as he prepares for the 2026 Daytona 500, alongside insights from industry veterans like Jeff Gordon. The series also highlights the involvement of non-racing figures including Darius Rucker and Frankie Muniz.
A significant portion of the production addresses personal loss and community within the sport. Kurt Busch provides his first formal interview regarding the passing of his brother, Kyle Busch, earlier this year. The narrative explores how the racing community rallied to honor the family during the 2026 Coca-Cola 600.
The final installment shifts focus toward the modernization of NASCAR, featuring perspectives from Tyler Reddick and Bubba Wallace. This episode includes footage from the Anduril 250, marking the first time a race occurred on a U.S. Naval Base. The series serves as an examination of racing traditions and the future of the sport as it coincides with the nation's 250th birthday celebrations.
