Green, now 49 years old, received his diagnosis in January 2025. He chose to keep the news within his inner circle of family and friends until recently speaking out on a podcast.

The former NFL standout noted that he first began to experience physical symptoms, such as involuntary foot twitching while sleeping, which prompted him to seek medical consultation. Beyond these physical signs, Green mentioned he struggles with memory retention. He is proactive about his health and focuses on strict dietary habits and medical protocols to manage the condition.
