Jordan Devey, Super Bowl champ, dead by suicide at 38

Former NFL offensive guard Jordan Devey has died at age 38. His passing was announced by his wife, Lindsey, who confirmed that Devey died by suicide on what would have been their 15th wedding anniversary. He leaves behind his wife and four children.

Devey played in the NFL from 2013 to 2021. He went undrafted out of Memphis before joining the Baltimore Ravens. He later played for the New England Patriots, where he was part of the squad that won Super Bowl XLIX in 2015. Over his eight-year professional career, he also spent time with the San Francisco 49ers, Kansas City Chiefs, Las Vegas Raiders, and Buffalo Bills.

Since his retirement from professional football, Devey remained active in sports as a mentor and coach. Earlier this year, he took on the role of offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Eagle High School in Idaho. Colleagues and community members describe him as a dedicated leader who donated his time to coach his own children and local student-athletes.

A GoFundMe campaign is currently active to assist his family with medical and living expenses during this period. The community response has been significant as they work to support his wife and four children following his death. The loss is felt deeply by those who knew him both as a teammate and as a member of the Eagle High community.
