An attorney representing a woman suing Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua has released a color photograph as evidence in a civil lawsuit. The image depicts a bite mark on the plaintiff's shoulder, which the legal counsel claims contradicts previous assertions from Nacua’s team that the incident was merely horseplay.
Joseph Kar, the plaintiff's lawyer, filed the documentation as part of a case management conference in the Los Angeles County Superior Court. The lawsuit stems from an encounter on December 31, 2025, inside a vehicle following a dinner event. According to the court filing, the woman required a tetanus shot to treat the injury after the alleged incident occurred.
The case remains active as both parties continue the discovery process. Nacua’s legal team previously denied the allegations and suggested that they would pursue a defamation claim in response to the public accusations. A spokesman for the City Attorney stated that the related misdemeanor battery matter currently tracks toward a pre-filing diversion program, which allows individuals to address non-violent allegations through community support systems rather than criminal prosecution.
Recent filings indicate that Nacua has amended sworn answers regarding the incident. While he originally claimed the plaintiff contributed to the event due to her level of intoxication, the updated response changes that position to a denial of contribution while noting that investigation remains ongoing. The plaintiff seeks damages for assault, battery, gender violence, and negligence. Nacua, a First-Team All-Pro selection, faces these civil proceedings as the legal process moves through the Los Angeles court system.
