The entry lists for the 2026 US Open are officially out. This year’s tournament features a deep field of talent at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. World No. 1s Aryna Sabalenka and Jannik Sinner headline the list. Sabalenka returns to New York with the goal of securing a third consecutive title, a feat not seen since Serena Williams accomplished it between 2012 and 2014.

Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz plans to chase his third trophy in this event. Jessica Pegula enters the field as the highest-ranked American player at world No. 3. The tournament will host 17 former Grand Slam champions, including Novak Djokovic, who remains a significant threat with 24 major titles to his name.

The United States has 28 players set for direct entry. Along with Pegula, American hopes rest on Coco Gauff and Amanda Anisimova on the women’s side, while Taylor Fritz and Ben Shelton represent the top-ranked American men. Many of these players have reached late-stage rounds in previous years, signaling a strong chance for local success.

Tournament officials confirmed the cutoff rankings for entry were No. 102 for women and No. 101 for men. Eight players secured their spots using special or protected rankings. The event schedule runs from August 23 to September 13, with main draw matches beginning on August 30.
