OpenAI President Greg Brockman recently addressed public questions regarding the company’s executive turnover. During an interview with CNBC, Brockman stated that the recent string of departures is not atypical for a firm under such heavy public scrutiny.

The comments follow the high-profile exits of revenue chief Denise Dresser and longtime executive Brad Lightcap. Dresser departed just eight months into her role, which focused on growing the company’s enterprise unit. Lightcap, who held an eight-year tenure, also stepped away as part of a broader leadership adjustment.

Brockman emphasized that high levels of external attention often frame standard corporate moves as signs of instability. He noted that he and CEO Sam Altman remain stable figures at the core of the business, providing continuity as the company prepares for its upcoming initial public offering.

In addition to the personnel changes, the company is managing internal shifts in responsibility. Brockman has absorbed several duties previously held by other leaders to streamline project oversight. OpenAI continues to see growth in its business segments, reporting a 32 percent increase in enterprise customers during July. The company remains focused on justifying its valuation as it moves toward a public market debut.
