Huawei is preparing to refresh its wearable lineup with a new blood pressure monitoring smartwatch. Recent certification filings indicate the upcoming device is the successor to the Watch D2, likely arriving as the Watch D3.

Documents from the SDPPI in Indonesia reveal two specific model numbers: RIV-B10 and RIV-B11. While the filings confirm the existence of these units, they offer few technical details regarding how the two variants differ. The original Watch D2 set a high bar for health-focused wearables by integrating a dedicated cuff for accurate blood pressure measurements directly on the wrist.

This technology remains rare among major manufacturers. While rivals like Apple, Samsung, and Google continue to dominate the general smartwatch market, they often rely on different tracking methods that do not include a physical cuff. By maintaining this feature, Huawei occupies a distinct niche for users who require medical-grade monitoring.

The timing for this release aligns with upcoming company events. Huawei has a major product launch scheduled in Munich on September 2. Although much of the anticipation surrounds the potential global debut of the Watch GT 7 series, these new certification records suggest the health-focused D3 is also in advanced stages of development. It is probable that we will see an official reveal for this new wearable in the coming weeks.
