Nothing reportedly has its first smartwatch in the works
Nothing is reportedly moving beyond its budget-friendly CMF brand to develop its first official smartwatch under the main company banner. Reports from tipster Yogesh Brar indicate that this new wearable will likely arrive in September with a price point set below $300.
While the company has already gained traction with the CMF Watch 3 Pro, that device operates as a more basic fitness-focused wearable. A sub-$300 entry suggests Nothing is positioning this new product to compete directly with premium offerings like the OnePlus Watch 4. The design will follow the company's trademark transparent aesthetic, which has become a staple of their smartphone and earbud lineup.
Key questions remain regarding the internal software. It is currently unknown if the watch will utilize Google’s Wear OS or stick to a custom Real-Time Operating System similar to their previous hardware releases. Given the reported September launch, we expect further hardware specifications and software details to surface as the release date approaches.
This move marks a significant shift for the brand as it attempts to secure a stronger position in the competitive wearable market. Availability is expected to be limited to specific markets upon the initial launch. We are waiting for official confirmation from the company to verify these reported specs and pricing details.
