Spectrum is currently addressing significant network damage across Hawaiʻi following the impact of Hurricane Lala. Many customers remain without service as a direct result of power outages that hit the region during the storm. Technicians are unable to safely or effectively repair internet infrastructure until power is restored to the affected areas.

Despite these challenges, crews are actively working to restore connectivity where conditions allow for safe operations. The company reports that hundreds of maintenance and field technicians are on the ground focused on rebuilding the network after the storm surge and wind damage.

To assist those without home connectivity, Spectrum has opened nearly 3,000 public Wi-Fi access points across the islands. Residents should be aware that some of these locations may not be functional if the local power grid remains offline. Updates regarding specific site availability and progress on repairs are posted to the official company support page for the storm recovery.
