The Pixel 11 Pro emphasizes durability with a new scratch-resistant display coating and increased brightness. It packs 16GB of RAM and improved telephoto camera performance. The Pro Fold model is now lighter and thinner, featuring an 8-inch Super Actua Flex display. Both Pro models utilize the Tensor G6 chip for improved power efficiency.
Beyond smartphones, Google launched the Pixel Watch 5. This wearable focuses on health monitoring, including blood pressure tracking, insulin resistance levels, and heart rhythm alerts. It introduces satellite connectivity for emergency services. The device comes in two sizes with various band options, including a specialized version for athletes.
Google also entered the item-tracking market with the Pixel Tag. This device competes with existing trackers and utilizes Bluetooth channel sounding plus Ultra Wideband for precision location. It is IP67 water-resistant and runs on a user-replaceable CR2032 battery. Pixel Buds Pro 2 received minor updates, including an Olive color option and expanded real-time translation for over 70 languages.
These updates represent an iterative path for Google. While the devices introduce performance bumps and specific health features, the pricing structure remains high with base models seeing a $100 increase. Seven years of software support is included across the smartphone range to maintain device longevity for users.
