Google has officially unveiled the Pixel Tag, a direct competitor to the Apple AirTag. The new Bluetooth tracker enters the market with a price point of $29.99 for a single unit and $99.99 for a four-pack. While preorders are not yet open, the hardware is slated for an official release on November 11, 2026.
The device features a slim, two-inch elliptical design constructed from stainless steel. It carries an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance, appearing in a single Fog colorway that aligns with the aesthetic of the new Pixel 11 series and the Pixel Watch 5.
Functionality includes a built-in speaker for location pings through the Find Hub app. Users can also leverage the tag to find a misplaced Android phone by pressing a button on the rear panel, which triggers an alert on the paired device. The system supports cross-device connectivity, allowing integration with Pixel Watches and Pixel Buds. It is compatible with any smartphone running Android 9 or newer.
Advanced features include precision finding tools with directional pointers and automatic alerts if a user accidentally leaves an item behind. Security measures are also in place to notify users if an unknown tag is traveling with them. Consumers can sign up for in-stock alerts directly on the Google Store website.
