[Galaxy Unpacked July 2026] A First Look at Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8
Samsung has officially introduced its eighth-generation foldable lineup at the Galaxy Unpacked event in London. The new series includes the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, the Galaxy Z Fold8, and the Galaxy Z Flip8, each designed with updated hardware and new AI integrations.
The standout model is the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra. It features an 8-inch main display and a profile thickness of 4.1 millimetres when unfolded. This model introduces agentic AI capabilities, including Gemini Notebook for document synthesis and Now Nudge for automated multitasking. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor.
The standard Galaxy Z Fold8 arrives with a redesigned aspect ratio and a weight of 201 grams. It includes software tools such as My FanCam, which uses AI to track and frame specific subjects during video recording. The device is built for content creators who need portable hardware with advanced editing features.
Completing the lineup, the Galaxy Z Flip8 focuses on usability through its expanded FlexWindow. Users can now check schedules, weather, and notifications without opening the phone. The camera system includes Camcorder Grip and Dual Recording to improve video stability and capture multiple perspectives simultaneously.
These devices emphasize the shift toward agentic AI that anticipates user needs rather than waiting for commands. Samsung aims to provide hardware that adapts to specific lifestyles, whether for high-performance multitasking or compact daily utility.
