Arroyo Grande, Grover Beach buildings get makeovers with new murals

Buildings in Arroyo Grande and Grover Beach are undergoing visual transformations. Business owners in the area are commissioning new murals to bring color to local storefronts and reflect the character of the community.

At Village Creative in the Village of Arroyo Grande, a two-day project is currently underway. Owner Emily Bechtel stated that the artwork serves as a visual signal of the creative talent present in the area, offering a more welcoming sight to residents and visitors passing through the district.

This trend is also visible in Grover Beach, where a new mural was finished last week at Auer Real Estate. The proprietor noted that the project is intended to provide a positive message to local drivers. Plans for future expansion include adding more natural elements to the display next summer.

These additions are part of a broader effort to decorate the Five Cities region. By turning blank walls into points of interest, property owners are altering the look of local streets and giving residents new reasons to engage with their surroundings.
