VSCO is opening a national call for photographers across the United States. The company is selecting 50 creators, one from each state, to have their work displayed on large-scale billboards. This initiative provides participants with exposure, licensing, and payment for their images.
Project participants are invited to submit photos that tell compelling stories. VSCO is looking for impactful imagery that captures the world from a personal perspective. There are no submission fees for this program, and the company plans to review all entries through its internal curation team.
To apply, photographers must post their images directly to the VSCO app. Each submission requires a relevant hashtag for the creator's state of residence along with the tag #TheFifty. Candidates should include a short caption describing the story behind their series. The company also suggests that applicants provide a model release if their work features individuals.
Selected photographers will receive compensation for the use of their work. Beyond the immediate billboard display, VSCO intends to feature chosen entries in additional editorial projects and licensing opportunities to help grow the careers of those involved.
Applications close on September 10, 2026. The program is currently open to residents of the United States who are 18 or older. VSCO indicates that further opportunities for international photographers are planned for the near future.
