Days of Thunder sequel proceeding

Paramount is moving forward with a sequel to the 1990 racing drama Days of Thunder. Tom Cruise plans to reprise his role as Cole Trickle, the high-stakes NASCAR driver who defined the original film. Jerry Bruckheimer will join the production team again, continuing the partnership that launched the classic movie.
