The D23 2026 event in Anaheim served as the stage for significant announcements regarding the future of Disney Experiences. During the Horizons showcase hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, leadership shared plans for several park expansions and ride updates. Guests can expect a reimagined Tomorrowland at Disneyland Park and a complete redesign of the Journey Into Imagination attraction at EPCOT featuring Figment and Dreamfinder. These updates join a slate of international projects, including new areas dedicated to The Lion King, Marvel, and villains.

Thomas Mazloum, Chairman of Disney Experiences, emphasized that these developments remain focused on the emotional connection between fans and Disney stories. The presentation confirmed that the Yeti in Expedition Everest will receive mechanical restoration. Beyond park attractions, the event highlighted ongoing development for The Disney Princess Experience, a new immersive quest based on various character narratives.

Outside of the park-specific news, Disney Jr. confirmed a seventh season for Marvel’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends. Lucasfilm also introduced a new animated special, LEGO Star Wars: The Mandalorian, set for release on September 2, 2026. The Anaheim Convention Center hosted additional panels, costume contests, and fan-focused activities throughout the weekend.

The D23 event concludes with the Disney Legends Awards Ceremony hosted by Ryan Seacrest. This ceremony will honor industry figures who contributed to the company legacy, including Bob Iger, Anne Hathaway, and Dwayne Johnson. These announcements reflect the current direction of the company across both domestic and international resort properties.
