Marvel Studios officially confirmed the cast for the upcoming X-Men film during the D23 fan event. The announcement highlights a shift for the franchise as it prepares for its 2028 release. Sadie Sink will take on the role of Jean Grey, while Kit Connor is set to portray Cyclops.

Christopher Abbott joins the production as Professor Charles Xavier, stepping into a role previously held by Sir Patrick Stewart. Adam Driver also confirmed his involvement, appearing via video to announce his role as the antagonist Nathaniel Milbury, also known as Mr. Sinister. The film rounds out its core cast with Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, Inde Navarrette as Rogue, and Maya Boyd as Storm.

Director Jake Schreier leads the project, which marks the first major X-Men reboot since Disney acquired the rights from 20th Century Fox. The previous entry, Dark Phoenix, was released in 2019. This new production aims to integrate the X-Men characters into the current direction of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige indicated that additional casting announcements are expected. The untitled X-Men film is scheduled for a theatrical release in May 2028. This move follows the promotion of other upcoming projects, including Avengers: Doomsday, which features Robert Downey Jr. and is set to arrive in December.
