20th Century Studios announced that the 1993 comedy Mrs. Doubtfire is joining the 4K Ultra HD library. This release arrives on September 29 as a two-disc combo pack containing both a 4K Blu-ray and a standard Blu-ray disc.
The technical specifications include a new 4K restoration of the film alongside a Dolby Vision and HDR presentation. For audio, the disc features a Dolby Atmos track. This update offers a fresh way to watch Robin Williams in his role as a father who disguises himself as an elderly housekeeper to stay close to his children.
The combo pack includes several legacy bonus features. Viewers will find content covering the production office, the animation studio, the makeup department, and the publicity department, plus behind-the-scenes footage from the cutting room and stage A. Subtitle options are available in English SDH, Spanish, and French for the main feature.
Collectors can look for this title at major retailers starting in late September. It remains a hallmark film from the 90s, directed by Chris Columbus and featuring a cast that includes Sally Field and Pierce Brosnan.
