The Beatles are revisiting their classic 1965 album Rubber Soul with a brand new Super Deluxe Edition. Apple Corps Ltd and UMG announced this collection today, which features 68 tracks across either five vinyl LPs or four CDs. The set includes the original 14 tracks presented in stereo, mono, and Dolby Atmos formats for improved clarity.

Audio engineer Sam Okell worked with producer Giles Martin to update the recordings using de-mixing technology. This technique, originally created for Peter Jackson's Get Back documentary, isolates individual instruments and vocals to improve sound quality without altering the original character of the songs. The release follows a series of similar archival sets from the band released over the past several years.

Beyond the music, the package includes an 88-page hardcover book. This book features a foreword by John Lennon, an introduction by Paul McCartney, and extensive background notes on the recording process. The release marks a significant entry in the band's ongoing catalog preservation project.

Pre-orders are open now ahead of the October 2 release date. The vinyl set is priced at $229.98, while the CD format retails for $149.98. Fans can secure their copies through major online retailers now.
