Tony Iommi is releasing his new solo album, From The Dark, on October 23. BMG Records announced the project, which features the lead single World Alone, a track that recently debuted at a streaming event in Birmingham, England.

The music leans into hard rock territory with heavy guitar riffs and solos. The album showcases vocals from Jorn Lande, with contributions from bassist Becky Baldwin and drummer Karl Brazil. Iommi worked with producer Mike Exeter to capture a direct and powerful sound across the eight tracks.

Lyrical themes on the album focus on existential topics and dystopian imagery. Lande and Iommi collaborated on the writing for the songs. The tracklist includes titles such as Over The Violent Sun, Stormwatcher, and the closing track Legacy. Deluxe editions of the album will feature two additional songs, Scent Of Dark and Deified.

Fans can choose from multiple physical formats, including four different colors of double vinyl pressed at 45rpm. The packaging features a die-cut design highlighting Iommi’s signature cross. A limited edition 7-inch single of World Alone is also scheduled for a September 4 release. Detailed information regarding the various editions is available at Iommi.com.
