Owner Jim Kamradt reports that the production crew spent a week filming on site in the Hessville neighborhood last May. Ramsay and his team updated the menu and handled interior renovations, including fresh decor and new dinnerware to refresh the local favorite.

The restaurant has served the community for 66 years. Kamradt notes that business surged for months after the film crew wrapped, as locals were curious about the changes. The restaurant remains a destination for families celebrating holidays and birthdays, and this television exposure is expected to draw interest from across Northwest Indiana.

Preparation for the filming was intense. Production crews wired the building with recording devices and provided a professional kitchen overhaul.
